This course introduces students to Information Technology (IT) to help them appreciate its role, significance, impact and applications in real world situations especially in data/information management activities.
To expose students to the concept of databases and also equip them with the skills to enable them use database applications to organize and manipulate organizational databases for administrative and operational duties.
This course equips participants with the skills to do quality evaluation of information management resources in organisations. Additionally, participants will develop the competencies to assess and appraise data versus business processes, the quality of documentation and information management systems and design policies and procedures for control of the creation, storage, distribution, retention and disposition of documents. This is aimed at providing participants with the skills and tools for quality control.
